Claims involving damage to crops usually arise from allegations by the grower that the chemical applicator (the insured) misapplied, used the wrong chemical or applied during windy conditions, among other things. Such activity, if true, can result in loss of yield, the killing of fruit trees, and injuries to humans contaminated by the chemicals. Time is of the essence in these cases.
